At the Black Hills Regional Eye Surgery Center, we are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality of life for our patients through state-of-the-art medical care. We are committed to providing comprehensive eye care and surgery for children and adults. We stress excellent service and consideration for the patient, and constantly strive to provide the best medical and surgical care available anywhere.
Since its inception in 1987, the Surgery Center has provided a wide range of surgical procedures. This tradition continues today, as we provide care to thousands of patients in a five-state region. Surgeries performed include retinal, cataract, glaucoma, eye muscle, oculoplastic, pediatric, anterior segment and corneal transplants. Our ophthalmologists also work closely with the medical community to diagnose and treat emergency and eye trauma cases.
The Eye Institute Surgery Center offers patients a warm and friendly environment. All surgery is done on a same-day, outpatient basis, and every effort is made to ensure each patient's comfort and convenience. Our staff of registered nurses and certified registered nurse anesthetists specialize in ophthalmology only, which makes the experience comfortable for the patient.
Located on the second level of the Institute, the Surgery Center is licensed under the State of South Dakota, and is certified by the U.S. Health Care Finance Administration for use by Medicare patients.
